Each confectionery order that we complete is unique-- the flavor, design, and serving amount are all tailored to fit your vision and budget. The best way to achieve your pastry goals is to have a consultation.
While the BASIC cupcake, cookie, and pastry orders are easy to place over the phone, cake orders are not. We have come to realize that the most effective way to achieve your cake vision is to have a consultation in person.
Our cakes are not like your traditional store-bought cake. Even though they are taller and richer in flavor, they are not as wide. They are also more expensive. It is imperative that our customers come into the shop and physically see the size of the cake that will fit their needs.
So how do you go about setting up a consultation? Simply call us at least TWO WEEKS before your event to begin the process (you’re welcome to call us if you’re planning something last-minute to see the availability of a date). We will then schedule a time for you to come in and chat with us.
If you have ordered cakes from us before and are aware of our sizing options, you may certainly place your order over the phone.
Email communication with us not always effective—we have found that many emails we personally send out go right to people’s spam folders. AFTER 8 YEARS IN BUSINESS, WE HAVE DROPPED OUR EMAIL ADDRESS AND NO LONGER COMMUNICATE THAT WAY.
Bottom line: you deserve to be listened to and you deserve to get the confection of your dreams. We look forward to hearing from you!
One of the perks of having a sit-down consultation is the taste testing session! This is especially true for weddings and other large events where the flavor of the confection is going to be the center of the celebration. During the taste testing session, you and two guests will be treated to 3 cupcakes of 4 different flavors. You and your guests will also receive a complementary small coffee, tea, or water. The fee is $20 and is due at the beginning of the consultation.
There are many design elements that we at CCL take into consideration when creating your cake, cupcakes, or cookies. The following is some pieces of information that we might ask during the consultation that would be helpful to us as we create your confection:
Besides Google, Yahoo, and Bing images, there are some wonderful websites out there that can help you plan for the perfect pastry:
We also have a good collection of cake and cupcake books to help you fine tune your vision!
